Easter Festival, 23rd March - 1st April 2013
The Salzburg Easter Festival was founded by Herbert von Karajan in 1967 as a means of expanding the traditional Salzburg Festival held in August. The Easter Festival rapidly grew to become an exclusive and artistically brilliant festival. Elaborate new opera productions and the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra's extensive orchestral repertoire contributed to the Salzburg Easter Festival's renown from the very beginning.

Salzburg Whitsun Festival, 17th May - 20th May 2013
The Salzburg Whitsun Festival has focused on Neapolitan Baroque and the early classical era since 2007. Under the title "Salzburg goes Napoli" the artistic director, Ricardo Muti, refers to the long and tradition steeped connection between the Austrian and Neapolitan cultures. An opera at the beginning, an important oratorio at the end, top-level concerts in between - that is the concept on which Salzburg's Whitsun Festival is based.

Jazz & the City, 9th October - 13th October 2013
Hot brass, phat beats, exuberant songs One hundred concerts at fifty venues in Salzburg's historic city center are a special listening experience each October during "Jazz & the City." Salzburg's "Old City" with its cafés, bars, squares, galleries and many special venues is transformed into a musical Mecca for five days. On the program: world music, jazz and electronic music, international stars as well as promising newcomers. Free admission for all!

alzburg Jazz Autumn, 23th October 2013 – 3rd November 2013
One of the most elegant Jazz-festivals in Europe. In fall 2013 - probably for the last time the city of Salzburg - turns into a Mecca for jazz fans of all ages.
Besides the highly acclaimed stars of the prestigious Salzburg Jazz Autumn, led by Johannes Kunz at "Jazz in the Old Town" mostly young local formations make music for free entry on the courts and in the bars of the old town.

The Salzburg Jazz Autumn is one of the most elegant jazz festivals in Europe, and has been attracting since the founding year in 1996 international stars and Austrian jazz musician to Salzburg.

Salzburg Advent Singing, 30th December - 15th December 2013
The Salzburg Advent Singing in the Great Festival Hall: Year after year nearly 200 participants on stage and behind the scenes of the Large Festival Hall make sure that Salzburg Advent Singing lives up to its outstanding reputation: an intimate, unforgettable event that has become a fixture on Salzburg's pre-Christmas program. Approximately 36,000 visitors from Austria and abroad travel to Salzburg during the Advent season to experience the world-famous event firsthand.
